Dental implants are a modern and effective solution to replace missing teeth. They consist of small titanium screws that are surgically inserted into the maxillary or mandibular bone, acting as artificial roots on which crowns, bridges or dental prostheses are placed.

A dental implant consists of three main parts:

• Implant: Biocompatible titanium screw that integrates with the bone.

• Abutment: Connector that joins the implant to the crown.
